Braiding, one of my hobbies

I'm a Natural hair stylist,  I love the end product of my job, it makes me feel good when i see how much people love and appreciate what I've done. Some of the braids i do are inspire by something i see in my surrounding, most of the time they are from abstract designs.

This braid was inspired by a spider and it webs.
It did not turn out like a perfect spider web but it worked out to be a nice style

Another inspired hairstyle was this one, i was sitting one night on my bed when i saw this beautiful pattern on my floor tile, and i thought,Why not try to do this as a hair style, and i did. The end product is this
Braids are very easy to do, especially in African American hair. You need not follow any particular pattern, you can section the hair as you go along and just make up a style, like the following, that's what i did

This client's hair is perfect for cornrow braids, as the hair is not too thick its not to light and her scalp is beautiful, so its always a pleasure to braid

Some of the braids i do are requested. most time I'll do a braid and someone sees it and come to me and request it, that's not a good thing for me because i really love freelancing. However, ido what is requested. Some of these  requested hairstyles are common like the following:

This is the Zig-Zag  braids, its very common and most times requested.
The braid to the right is another freelance, I sectioned the hair as i go along, always sharing  the sections on either sides evenly. and yes, it turned out well.

To the left as you can see is another Zig Zag style

To the right another Freelance braid

This a spider inspired hairstyle

To the right A cute and simple braid for a child

Braids, as I said before are easy to do and if you should do them for a while it becomes effortless. To me its an art and a head of hair and scalp is my canvas.
